Case Study
CIFA
The aim was to highlight CIFA’s sustainability efforts with a dedicated section that could share those values clearly, while still feeling true to the brand’s overall look and tone.
Created the user experience and interface, adapted the visual identity to a new concept.

THE CHALLENGE
-
CIFA is a company known for heavy machinery, with a bold, industrial brand identity that doesn’t exactly scream “sustainability.” The client wanted to create a new section dedicated to their environmental efforts, something that could feel fresh and credible, without clashing with the rest of the site. There was also a lot of content to communicate, from initiatives to governance, and the challenge was to structure it in a way that felt clear and approachable, not overwhelming.

MY ROLE
-
As the sole designer on the project, my job was to take all the content, mostly paragraphs of text and tables, and turn it into something that felt clear, easy to browse, and visually in tune with the rest of the site. I handled the layout, UI design, and worked closely with developers to make sure everything came together smoothly.
THE PROPOSITION
-
To keep the content easy to navigate, I gave a lot of breathing room to visuals like illustrations. I also numbered the sections and sub-sections to help users quickly get where they want to go. To keep it in tune with the main site’s industrial feel, I added a rugged texture in the background, but played with a much brighter, fresher colour palette. The idea was to give the sustainability section a more uplifting vibe that still felt connected, but clearly had its own purpose and personality.

STAGED RELEASE PLAN
-
The sustainability section was planned in two phases. The first is a simple one-pager to give a clear overview of the company’s values and ongoing efforts. The second will go a bit deeper, with multiple pages covering projects, goals, and detailed data to show the impact and direction of their sustainability work.
