Case Study
Korus
The website’s main goal was to reflect Valme’s highly technical expertise in producing concrete distribution systems, and its no-nonsense, engineering-driven identity.
Adapted the very limited existing graphics for web, made the user experience and interface.

THE CHALLENGE
-
One of the main challenges was figuring out how to present all of Valme’s technical products in a way that felt clean and easy to navigate. The product range is pretty specific, mostly familiar to people in the field, so it was important to make it simple for users to jump straight to what they were looking for. Design-wise, the challenge was to bring the vibe of Valme’s printed materials into the digital space, keeping things consistent, but with a bit of a refresh to make it work better online.

MY ROLE
-
My role was to take care of the website layout and interface, organise the information in a way that made sense, and build a design that felt true to Valme while keeping things clear and easy to navigate.
THE PROPOSITION
-
To keep the content easy to navigate, I gave a lot of breathing room to visuals like illustrations. I also numbered the sections and sub-sections to help users quickly get where they want to go. To keep it in tune with the main site’s industrial feel, I added a rugged texture in the background, but played with a much brighter, fresher colour palette. The idea was to give the sustainability section a more uplifting vibe that still felt connected, but clearly had its own purpose and personality.

STAGED RELEASE PLAN
-
The sustainability section was planned in two phases. The first is a simple one-pager to give a clear overview of the company’s values and ongoing efforts. The second will go a bit deeper, with multiple pages covering projects, goals, and detailed data to show the impact and direction of their sustainability work.
